The Escondido Discussion – Maintaining our Local City Services

As part of this year’s budget process and to further engage Escondido residents CityWide, the City has launched The Escondido Discussion to hear local community priorities and City service needs.

The City is continuing to recover from the long-term effects of COVID and potentially faces an $8 million budget gap this year, we want to hear from YOU what local priorities you have and the City services you rely on as we strive to continue to provide the level of service residents expect and deserve.

It’s back! San Diego Museum Month returns on February 1 with Macy’s and 70 local library partners. Grand Avenue Vision Project Update

Grand Avenue is undergoing construction improvements! On January 10, 2022, the City began the Phase 1 construction of the Grand Avenue Vision Project.

Starting this week, existing light posts will be removed and minor concrete work will be performed from Maple to Kalmia Street. The contractor will start drilling for new light post foundations; this work is expected to be done at night.

Starting next week, the contractor is expected to pour the concrete curb, gutter, and light post foundations.
