Neighborhood Services is responsible for administration of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) public service programs and projects.

The division also manages capital projects related to neighborhood improvements and acts as the primary liaison between the City, neighborhood organizations, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Public Comments on Annual Action Plan

The City of Escondido would like feedback on its Annual Action Plan. The City anticipates receiving $2,495,991 from Housing and Urban Development to help low to moderate income households through Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”), Emergency Solutions Grant (“ESG”), and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (“HOME”). The Action Plan will be posted for a 30-day period from May 12, 2022 through June 10, 2022, for community members to review and provide public comment.

A Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 5 p.m. at the City Council Meeting.
