The Neighborhood Leadership Academy is offered annually in September through the City of Escondido Neighborhood Services Division. The Academy supports the development of participants' strengths and gives them "tools" to help them run their diverse organizations and create positive change in their communities. Academy sessions are facilitated by professional leadership development experts, and graduates come away with invaluable leadership and life skills.

Topics include:

  • Building Community: Getting Started
  • Discovering Our Strengths
  • Defining Your Community
  • How Culture Affects Conflict
  • Resolving Conflict
  • Creating a Shared Mission
  • Working Together
  • Teaching Others What You Know

Space is limited to 25 individuals per session. If you are interested in participating in the next Academy, please contact Dulce Salazar at 760-839-4057.
